Target Participants
Social workers, counsellors and professionals especially those working closely with families, children and youths such as staff of Family Service Centres
Learning Objective
Upon completion of the course, participants will be able to:
1) Describe the human energy field and how it can enhance their clients’ quality of life, emotional resiliency and work performance
2) Identify Energy Psychology strategies and techniques to assist others in releasing strong negative emotional and psychological issues (such as traumas or phobias)
3) Explain procedures to reduce or remove emotional and psychological blocks that hinder clients from moving on with their lives
Course Outline
1) Understanding the concept of the body as a complex energetic system – a new scientific model of human beings as networks of complex energy fields that interface with physical/cellular systems (e.g. acupuncture and meridian system)
2) Health paradigm - wellness that takes into consideration the full spectrum of body needs, psychological, emotional wants and energy requirements that are required to lead fulfilling and productive lives
3) Emotions - the influence of electromagnetic energy created by our thoughts and the electrical and chemical changes that occur within the body
4) Protocols to clear unwanted emotional and psychological blocks that hinder productivity
5) Techniques to release trauma and negative emotions that plague the lives of clients
Trainer
Joseph Guan, PhD (Education), was a secondary school teacher for twelve years and was a vice-principal and principal for a total of nine years. Dr Guan has been involved actively in training for the last fifteen years, specializing in the areas of emotional intelligence, leadership, stress management, learning strategies, personal effectiveness, team building, speed reading, time management, creative thinking, coaching and counseling skills. He was a facilitator and trainer for Asia in teacher development programmes for the International Office of Catholic Education for several years.
